Welcome Home

Joy Christian Center is the “home” of some very special folks, and if The Lord Jesus directs you to us, we would love to welcome you home!

The joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and we shout for joy and we are glad because we favor God’s righteous calling in the lives of His children. We say continually “Let the Lord be magnified Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” And our tongues do speak of God’s righteousness and God’s praise all the day long! (Psalm 35:27-28 and 3 John 2)

The beautiful flower above reminds us of the words of Jesus in Matthew 6 “…Consider the lilies (flowers) of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass (flowers) of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you… But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you…” (Matthew 6:28-33).

Praise God !!! Hallelujah !!! Jesus Is Lord !!!

Joy Christian Center is a nondenominational “Spirit-filled, Full Gospel” church, representing the Lord Jesus Christ – The Messiah. The church was started by Pastors Bruce and Lorraine LeGates in 1998 as the main outreach of El Shaddai Word Ministries, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 1987.

We identify with the term “Full Gospel“ signifying that we believe and teach the baptism with the Holy Spirit in accordance with Mark 1:8, Acts 1:8, Acts 2.4 and other related scriptures. Please see our “Statements of Faith” and the section on “Baptism in the Holy Spirit”.

We identify with the term “Full Gospel” signifying that we endeavor to abide by all scriptures pertaining to New Testament believers, including ones concerning apostles, prophets, divine healing, speaking in tongues, etc. These have NOT passed away and are very much part of the ministry of the Lord Jesus TODAY! Please see Ephesians 4:8-16, and our “Statements of Faith”, especially the sections on “The Scriptures” and “Divine Healing”.

Red, yellow, brown, black or white – everyone is welcome who sincerely desires to live for God as a Christian in line with the Holy Scriptures, THE BIBLE. We use the King James Version mainly; however, we also use other versions for reference (eg: The Amplified Bible, The New Living Translation, New King James, etc.).
